Hi folks

I need to able to open txt files as links i.e

textpad.exe http://pathtotextfile.txt

But I get prompted to save a new file. File, open, entering the URL works but that doesnt give me what I'm looking for.

Textpad is a file editor.

http://... is a (uniform) resource locator, not a file locator ...
