Hello,

I just experienced some sort of glitch in my computer which neatly deleted some macros. One in particular I found very useful and need back but cannot find it.

It is one of the macros, I think, that comes with the original install and was accessed by

Ctrl+J which joined ragged lines one at a time within a paragraph

or Ctrl+Shift+J for a version that joined ragged lines simultaneously in multiple paragraphs

Can someone point me to the macros?

Unless you did something different, Ctrl-J corresponds to Edit:EditJoinLines "Append next line to current line, or join all selected lines"
Ctrl-Shift-J is Edit:EditReformat "Adjust line lengths to the right margin"

You can set these preferences under Configure, Preferences (Ctrl-Q, P) Keyboard tab, Categories = Edit and the commands are indicated above

Also, check whether word wrapping is turned on. The Join Lines command is only available when word wrapping is off.

If it helps, you can see these commands and shortcuts listed in the Edit menu.

Andrew

Thank you both

Hello,

It was the wrap lines condition.

Why do I think I remember that this worked even with wrap lines (which I always have on).?

Is there another way to do this?
