Customizable highlighting of HTML character entities

The common HTML character entities (such as "&") are recognized and coloured by TextPad. Others (such as "–") are not. A thread in the "General" forum entitled "HTML syntax refuses to highlight characters" (http://forums.textpad.com/viewtopic.php?t=5958) concluded that the list of recognized codes was hard-coded. How about introducing a feature (perhaps through the syntax file) to enable users to add other strings to be treated similarly to those that are hard-coded?
