i have customized textpad extensively and thus would like to backup my settings. i sometimes experience a system shutdown while textpad is running and this results in the loss of my settings. i keep a copy of
C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Application Data\Helios\TextPad\5.0\config.xml and also have exported registry settings to
G:\Editors\TextPad\textpad5.reg . but even after replacing the damaged xml file and running the .reg file, textpad is still not fixed. os is winXP pro sp3.

any suggestions?

Are you getting BOTH registry files?

Need CURRENT_USER and LOCAL_MACHINE values.
