Hello --

Leaving a TextPad document open for less than a minute (doing no editing on the document) causes the Save As dialog box to appear.

That problem started recently.

Does anyone know what is causing it?

Is auto backup set?

Configure/Preferences/Backup is where the settings are.
If file has never been saved with a file name you will be prompted for a name. Once it has a name this will backup silently in the background.

I generally use the name temp.txt so I always know it is OK to overwrite it, and don't have to keep thinking of a new name to use.
