Removing a Document Class

How do I remove a document class?

I tried deleting it from HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-2000478354-1229272821-682003330-1003\Software\Helios, but it still shows up -- both in the registry and in Textpad.

Can't they be removed if they are ones I never use?

Hi Chuck,

Did you try removing them using the Preferences dialog?
  1. Close all documents.
  2. On the Configure menu, click Preferences.
  3. Click Document Classes.
  4. Select one or more classes.
  5. Click Delete (red X).
You shouldn't have to edit the registry.

Andrew, teh "Binary" wouldn't delete, nor the "Tool Output".

Why do you want to delete those? They are not associated with file extensions, but rather with the "binary" file format option in the open dialog, and with the output of compare files, find in files, etc. If you were to delete them, then TP would not have any way to handle those situations. So what are you trying to do?
