Can't install dictionary

I go through the process of downloading and installing the (English) dictionary without an error message. I start TextPad, type in some gibberish, try to do a spell check and get the following message:

"The files for the English (USA) dictionary have not been installed.
You can download them from http://www.textpad.com/"

I've tried downloading and installing three times, always with the same result. I'm running 64-bit Vista. Could that be the culprit? Is there a workaround?

Check that the relevant .tlx and .clx files are in the Spelling sub folder of your TextPad installation folder. If they are not there, then run a search for *.tlx and *.clx, and if found move them to the Spelling folder.

TLX anc CLX files

Thanks Helios,

In the folder "c:/Program Fils (x86)/TextPad 5/Spelling" I find the following files:

ssceam.tlx
ssceam2.clx
sscebr.tlx
sscebr2.clx
ssceca.tlx
ssceca2.clx

I'm not sure if those are the "relevant" files of which you speak, but those are the files I can find there. There are dozens more clx files in an Adobe directory, for example.

Does that help?
