Opera "View source" problem

In Opera 9.5 onwards I cannot view the source code in TP. It works OK if I set Notepad to view source, but who wants to do that! I get the following 4 alerts thrown up by TP:
OK to create "
an unnamed file contains an invalid path
C:\Documents and Settings\Nick\Local Settings\Application Data\Opera\Opera 9.51\profile\cache4\cached_filename (no extension in later versions of Opera)
C:\Documents and Settings\Nick\Local Settings\Application Data\Opera\Opera 9.51\profile\cache4\cached_filename contains an invalid path
If I click OK or Yes to all alerts then 3 blank windows are opened in TP - Documents, Documents1 and Documents2 The latter two are unsaved, the first appears to be saved as C:\Documents -there's summat funny going on here!
I am having to still use an earlier version of Opera for checking pages, which still used extensions in cached filenames.
Any one know how to get round this problem?
I'm using TP5.4.7.3 which I prefer to 5.2 and Opera 9.63 on WinXP Pro. I'd prefer not to use TP5.2 if it can be avoided (I forget what the reason was but it was due to some change between the versuions that I was not keen on)
