I tried all of the fixes I found online such as the ASSOC command but it did not stop until I uninstalled Texpad 5.2.

I have searched the forum but I have not found this problem - please forgive me if I missed it.

Please check if *.cmd is listed as one of the files in class for any of the Document classes. If it is, then delete it and your problem should be solved.
