Document Class Fonts

I posted about this before:

I have my default class font set to Courier New Bold 12pt. That's what I want ALL my classes to use.

But I cannot seem to get that done.

And I've tried setting it with all documents closed, with just the "new document" open, and with a registry file open. Nothing seems to work.

Especially with registry entries: I have a special class for them. I set the font (both printer and view) to Courier New Bold 12pt. But it doesn't stick. And even more strange, is the with REGEDIT4 entries the font DOES stick to what is set, but with Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 entire it keeps going back to Courier 10pt.

ISn't there a way to get this to set and stay put??

with just the "new document" open,
....this could be your problem.

When making configuration changes I find it best to follow these steps, especially for any changes in Classes:

1. Close all other copies of TextPad.
2. Close all open documents, INCLUDING THE DEFAULT NEW BLANK DOCUMENT.
3. Make the changes you want: Configure/Preferences/......
4. Apply and OK your way out the configurations.
5. Close TextPad.
6. Open TextPad again, and your changes should be good.

Bob:

I deleted the class and started over...this time it worked.
