Hi,

This is related to question on using "explorer" feature inside Textpad.

I am using Text Pad 5. It happens very often that when I am editing a file, I will need to refer to other files on the same working folder. I always have to click multiple level down to the target folder.
Is there a function that I can jump directly the current working directory?

Thanks.

afaik the explorer in textpad does not have this feature.

But:
Go to Configure - Preferences - General, then check "Working folder follows active document".

Now if you do File - Open, the file-open dialog opens with the folder the current file lives in.

The commands to copy the filename and browse its folder will be added to the Document Selector and tabs context menus, in the next maintenance upgrade. This is due out soon.

This was a feature in eclipse that was great:
Clicking on the tab of an file open scrolled that file into focus in the file explorer.

'Working folder follows active document' is great but could be that much better.... :D
