Closing numerous files in a keystroke

I use Textpad with some other applications - they other applications throw up numerous reports at the completion of various operations. They more times I run my calculations, the more open files I end up with.

Typically the files thrown to open in textpad are .tmp or .rpt extensions.

Currently I use the "Document Selector" to highlight & the RB close the files. This isnt great and what Im fishing for is a way (macro?) to assign a Fkey to close all files with extensions .xxxx and/or .yyyy

Is this possible? If so any clues? Thanks in advance.

My only thought is to put those files in a WorkSpace (WS). Then you can open/close the WS. After the WS is open, you can add/delete files to the WS with the Save WS command. If you close the WS, then all files in the WS will be closed, and they may actually be in different folders.
