Can anyone tell me if there is an answer to this? It all seems to have gone quiet on this thread and I'm stuck with the problem
I too am on an HP6810P/Vista x86/ATI Mobility Radeon X2300 combination, and really, really don't want to switch to UltraEdit

Read my previous post. The resolution is attaining the private build or perhaps not so private anymore but they seem to have corrected the issue (at least for me) when they released to me another build to try and that worked.
I would suggest to request that build as well.

I (kind of naively) thought that there would be a more open solution by now! Never mind, I'll drop them a line.

Let me know, what may have worked for me may not work from you but then again, people who (I presume) have requested the build as well, never chimed back in that it didn't work so I'm assuming that it worked for them as well.
Textpad support on the other hand is on top of their game!
