Need step-by-step instructions, please!

Post by Brad Stiritz »

Hi everyone,

I read through this entire thread on "Customizing the current line highlight (v4.7)", but I didn't find any step-by-step instructions to disable the dashed/broken lines above and below the current line. I also didn't find any helpful topics in the v4.7 help after searching for "dash", "highline", or "current". I have to agree with webmasta's comment:

Also. it takes 4 distinct steps to turn it off .. thats unproductive, why did they bury it ?? An option like that should be on the tool bar .. clik on / clik off.... because obviously no one will use that continuously, its too distracting

I did come close to figuring this out on my own: It looks like "Configure / Preferences / Document Classes / <class> / Colors / Current Line / Foreground" should control the "current line highlight", but changing to white doesn't have any effect.

Help please!

Thanks,

Brad

Configure>Preferences>View
uncheck: highlight the line containing the cursor
