Mo,

Don't know what's going on there. I suggest you click on the Support button and submit a bug report, if you cannot resolve it yourself. Nobody else has reported such problems, so there must be something unusual about your system. Can you try it on another PC? If you copy formatted text from IE and paste into MS WordPad, the formatting should survive, indicating that it has used the HTML format.

Keith,

I just copied some formatted text and pasted into WordPad and the formatting survived.

I will submit an issue to support.

Support has this to say about the grayed out "paste HTML"...

"The command Edit/insert/paste html, is disabled when Word wrap is
enabled. The clipboard history should show the plain text, and not the
HTML code, when copying from Internet Explorer."

Somehow I must have missed the clipboard history inclusion; I was sure it wasn't including these copies, but this morning there they are...someone sneek into my computer overnite just to show me up bad?

I need word wrap. I cannot be scrolling back and forth all the time to edit html pages...for writing code I can see it. This is not logical in my opinion. I'm going back to the previous version with paste html as the default. It was easier than this.

I appear to have misunderstood this statement. I took it to mean that if word wrap were the default then paste html would be grayed out. It seems that all you need to do is to toggle it off for it to work. I can live with this. Better would be that there was no relationship at all, but this isn't too bad.
