Textpad closes automatically after 2nd run

I have installed the latest java and textpad. I can compile and run a java program 1 time. The next time I try to run any compiled java program textpad immediately closes and all my Java settings are lost. I am running under windows 2000. Please Help.

I am having the exact same problem. Since TextPad is what I mainly use this is a major problem. Until there is a fix, I will need to reinstall the old TextPad as it is essentially unusable to me if I can not run Java from it.

I am also running Windows2000.
I am running jdk 1.3.1

Also, when it does run the first time - the Dos box does not stay open (and so when I miss what was printed there I run it a second time and the whole thing closes).

This could be one issue (things closing to much) or two issues.
