How do I set my preferences?? I just want to have horizontal crollbar off and word wrap on by default. Nothing I've tried seems to work. Does it have to do with classes? When I set word wrap in preferences hit apply and then hit ok, I cloes text pad then open it back up and Its not on there again?!?!? Boy is this frustrating.........................................................................................!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for your help,
Patrick

Re: preferences
Yeah, the wordwrap-thing has something to do with document-classes.
If tou for example wanna wordwrap all *.TXT (etc) files you open in textpad, you must go to "preferences" in the menu. Select "document classes" and select "text". You will notice (i hope
) that there is a check-box which is called "Word wrap long lines". You must check that check-box. That should be all.
Ofcause the same goes for all other document-classes you might have besides "text".
I don't know how to get rid of the horizontal scrollbar. (but i never use wordwrap anyway)

Re: preferences
If you want all file types to be affected select Configure/Preferences/"Document Classes"/Default/"Word wrap long lines"
To remove horizontal scroll bar:
uncheck Configure/Preferences/View/"Horizontal Scroll bar"
To remove horizontal scroll bar:
uncheck Configure/Preferences/View/"Horizontal Scroll bar"

Re: preferences
Thanks very much Ed. I thought I had tried that, but I suppose I hadn't. hehe
Your help was very much appreciated. Someone once told me something that seems fitting here. "I can't see the forest because of all these damn trees!"
Thanks again,
Patrick
