Maximum number of lines

What is the maixmum number of lines of text that can be opened in a Textpad file? I edit flat files of sizes ranging from 1 line up to 1 million lines.

The file size (and therefore line number) is limited only by the available memory (i.e. RAM and swap area)

I have a 225MB file. How do I set the swap area?
