BUG: File extensions trimmed in document selector (TP 8.2.0)

Post by kikosoft2 »

This seems to be a bug?
When I press the SAVE button the file extensions get trimmed to the first character only.
I'm using TextPad 8.2.0 (64bit) in Windows 10.
It looks like this (all files are .php):

My suspicion is that the " *", which indicates that a file was altered, is removed twice.

I just had a BSoD (blue screen of death), after which Textpad seems to have lost all its settings. It now looks like this:

In other words: Completely different from what it was. However, now the problem I reported above is gone. So clearly it was somehow related to the settings. These settings problably came from an older version of Textpad.

I also lost the content of the file I was editing, which is more annoying. Half an hour of work was erased. And I mean erased, because it was saved, and after the BSoD it was gone. Anyway, one problem solved, at least.

OK, the problem is back. I have now noticed that this problem only occurs when I select "Full path names on document selector and tabs" in "View" of the "Preferences".

This seems like such an easy problem to solve. 8)
