8.0.2 Workaround for current line outline obscuring chars?

Having reconfigured TextPad for light text on dark background by manually adjusting the background and foreground colors
individually for each syntax element, I find the current line has a dotted
outline that has not reversed, and is not configurable AFAICT and hides some
descenders e.g. http://i.imgur.com/tkgDx5q.png

Any workaround? Short of turning off current line highlight.
