With older Textpad (v4.7), I could open files in a different directory using control-o and then ".." and keep hitting ENTER to continue going up a directory level (the ".." would stay in the filename textbox).
But now, typing ".." + ENTER results in the directory name we just came from being in the textbox.
So instead of ".." + ENTER + ENTER going up two levels, I end up back where I started from.
Besides being used to it (<grin>), using the keyboard is much faster than switch to the mouse and clicking the "up directory" icon...
Also, could you support Linux file paths (with / rather than \) in the regular Open File dialog rather than only from the Quick-Open dialog? The problem with quick-open is that there is no way to change the current dir.
