"unspecified error" pop up when printing.

Post by brucebowler »

I have a new printer, I can print to it from other applications without issue. It's an HP Laserjet 400, in case it matters.

When I attempt to print to the printer, I get a pop-up that says "unspecified error". Textpad continues to work after I dismiss the popup.

Is there a way to get more info about why I can't print from TP? This is with 7.1, but also happened with 7.0.4.

TIA,
Bruce

If you haven't already done so, and you want the new printer to be your default device, then check under Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Devices and Printers.

In TextPad, check the Document class that you are using has the new printer selected, under Configure/Preferences/Document classes/+sign next to the specific document class/Printing/Printer.

I hope this helps.
