Does anyone know how to edit Textpad macro's?
Having to re-record a macro to add changes is a huge pain.
I saw a seven year old post that said the macros cannot be edited but this can't still be true can it?

It can be and, unfortunately, is.

It is especially a pain, because doing much of anything related to editing macros causes ALL your macro key-commands to go kablooey.

Consider using an external macro editor, like PhraseExpress or Macro Scheduler.

Actually, I only use TextPad macros to support my XBN-PhraseExpress scripts, because they are SO much faster. My biggest wish for TextPad is that the 64-TextPad macro limit was completely eliminated. Why in the world has this seemingly artificial limitation lingered for all these years?

Anyway, XBN-PhraseExpress makes EVERY aspect of TextPad completely scriptable. Creating automation for recording your macros, including assigning them key-commands is not much of a stretch, and if I ever find the time, it will be a reality.

Seven years? Try thirteen!

You will also find in past postings, and which I also recommend because it's tried and true, that in Windows, the best macro tool is Autohotkey - bar none. Having written this, the only method I devised to bypass this limitation in TP, is to write a series of short macros and then merge them into a final single macro by calling the short macros consecutively. This works for me and I hope that it helps.
