HELP!! Fill Block Does not Work

Just downloaded TEXTPAD 6.1.3 to evaluate Opened a text file, clicked"BLOCK SELECT MODE under the CONFIGURE Tab. But for some reason the Fill Block, Align, and Transpose buttons are grayed out on the menu and do not work. Align or Transpose also do not work from the drop down menus. Is there some setting on my computer that I need to use these features?

Do you have word wrapping turned on? Try turning it off from the Configure menu and seeing if that works.

Do you use a monospace font?
