Unable to access or save files

Post by carlottagp »

I have been using TextPad for about five years. This morning, I am suddenly unable to access any of the forty or fifty files I have worked on.

Fortunately, all my files are saved elsewhere in my computer, so I can copy one of them into the open window. However, I am unable to do a Save As.

Attempting to open a file, or to Save As, brings me a list of all the other locations available, but no TextPad location. Following the trail to Program Files, and then to TextPad, I see no subdirectory with .asm files or data files in it. All I see are Samples, Spelling and System, none of which appear large enough for my purpose.

Please advise me; I really hope that all the files haven't disappeared!

Thanks,

Michael

Hello, all,

My problem is no more. After many years of successful use of the features available in TextPad, I had entirely forgotten that my files are located in a directory of my own choosing, reporting directly to the root directory.

So all is well, and I'm a little embarrassed...
