As a software developer, I find that developers are less likely to be herded than cats. As such, I do not proselytize my tool choices, like TextPad. If people ask, I will pitch it.
About 4 months into my new job, and a couple of other new hires have started. The lack of a standard PC based text editor led me to pop my head up and offer to demo TextPad to see what sort of interest, if any, exists.
Might be 4 or more new converts. One of the big selling points, particularly with one of the long time employees I have become friends with, is that there is someone (me) who has used the product, is knowledgeable about it, and can chase down how features work.
We are TextPad of Borg. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.
