Hi,
I've looked all over the forum for an answer to this, but it is quite specific and I can't find a solution anywhere.
I have a simple macro which I have recorded and which I can play back over my file.
But how do I set the macro to playback over several text files (can be as many as 500 small textfiles)?
Presumably the command to go to the next file will be included in the macro and executed on playback. Will all files need to be opened, and if so, in what configuration (open and only displaying one at a time, cascaded, etc.)?
(It would be good if there was a 'Across all files' option was available, as in the search and replace commands, but presumably there isn't, or if there is I haven't seen it.)
I'm not using any kind of editor for my macro - just recording keystrokes using the integral recorder - and have no experience of written macro scripts (though I'm always willing to learn).
Thanks,
Gordo

You can't playback a macro over multiple files in TextPad. For an alternative program, please see if WildEdit would be suitable for your purposes.
