I'm having trouble printing text documents (i.e., those with a .txt extension) in Textpad 5.4 . When I try to print, Textpad hangs and has to be killed with Task Manager. The hang occurs as soon as I select File/Print -- before the "Print" dialog box appears (the one that allows you to select the printer, etc.)
It's not related to the printer; I get the same problem with any of several printers that I've tried. And it's not the document content, but rather the fact that it has the .txt extension. Documents with other extensions print fine, and if I rename my text document to some other extension without changing its content, then it too prints without trouble. I also can print without difficulty from other applications on this same computer.
Anybody know what might be wrong and how to fix it?
