Keyboard changes

Post by derekwallace »

Hi,
Strange problem on XP. I use Textpad all day. Opening /closing /editing files. Sometimes some of the keys change behaviour e.g @ becomes ", " becomes @ etc... Really annoying. I cant find what triggers it. Sometimes it fixes itself. Other times i just close textpad and re-open and its fine.

Using 5.3.1.

Thanks
Del

It sounds like you have more than one input language installed: perhaps en-UK and en-US. In en-UK, <shift-2> is "; in en-US, it's @.

Windows' handling of multiple input languages is extremely buggy. The only solution I've found is to use only one.
