I just migrated PCs from Windows7/32 bit to Windows7/64 bit and used the built-in "Easy Transfer" program to migrate my applications' settings.
TextPad was unfortunately one of those apps whose settings didn't transfer (despite preinstalling it on the new PC).
Luckily TP help tells me about all the different things to transfer (copying xml files buried in profile folders, export and import registry values etc.) so it all ended up fine (I think) in the end.
However will TP ever be compatible with the Easy Transfer process? Most of my other apps migrated fine.
In this day and age, I would really prefer not to be messing about with registry settings and I'd hope that migrating PCs should no longer be a daunting task. Or should I just get back to dreaming?
