Got bored today waiting for client changes and decided to make a more photoreal-style icon for Textpad to look purrty in Windows 7.
I'm going to replace the resources in my local binary but I'm more than happy to turn over the icon at various sizes to Helios to just use for releases.
A 256x256 example:

Well this is a bother.
I replaced the icon resources and it shows up right in Explorer, in my Start menu, and on the taskbar if I run Textpad myself. However if I right-click a file and launch Textpad from there, the little icon in the header of the TP window is right but the icon on the taskbar is old. Yet I can't seem to find any other components of Textpad that contain icon resources (ShellExt32.dll in particular which is where I figured it might be).
Cleared Windows' icon cache too and it still displays the original. Hmmm!
