Recently upgraded from textpad 4.7.3 to Textpad 5.3.1

Like in 5.3.1:
---------------
Replace Notepad Checkbox in preferences.
This should have been around sice the beginning.
I don't know how many times I've double clicked on a
file only for it to open in Notepad. I know that I could
have changed the file association ahead of time, but
who has the time?

Search Results window at the bottom of the screen.
Bravo! I don't know how many times I've
Ctrl+Tab between windows to get to the search
results window in Textpad 4.7
It was really bothersome.

Jump previous, jump next are phenomenal. Really useful.
I can't live without them now. I used to do the same thing
in the previous version and it was really, really time consuming.
I'd Ctrl+Tab to the search results window (which meant going through
a lot ow windows) and then I'd click on the next result line.
It's one of those things you don't know you need until you use them
and once you use them, you can't live without them.

Dislike in 5.3.1:
------------------
When minimized to the Context menu, why is there a choice to Exit?
It used to be restore only. That is what it should be. That way, I could
just click on the Context manu icon I want and see the text editor
pop up.

Incremental find. What purpose does it serve? Just F5 to find and
go to next.

Incremental find. What purpose does it serve?
This was a much-requested feature in these forums. It speeds up searching as you don't need to wait until you've finish typing before bringing up a dialog box and clicking Find.

Most web browsers now have it (IE is an exception). Notepad++ has it. IDEs such as MS Visual Studio have it. IMO, once you've experienced it you can't live without it (well I can't).

In any case, if you don't care for it you're not forced to use it. That's exactly how it should be. :)
