TextPad looks for macro files (*.tpm) in the folder defined in Configuration:
Configure/Preferences/Folders/Macros.

Two simple methods come to mind:

1. Copy the macro file to their computer and store on proper directory.
OR
2. Store your macros on a shared network resource and have each computer point to the correct path for the network macro folder.
Hope this was helpful.............good luck,

Thanks! Bob
It was helpful, I was just looking for the path where *.TPM file generates.
I got that now after your comments.

Generally, in xp I guess the path is \Documents and Settings\{user}\Application Data\TextPad.

Copying Macro

Post by biraja »

Hi
I copied a macro(.tpm) file from my system and placed in the appropiate path of another system, but I am unable to see the copied macro in the new system. Can anyone know how to share a macro within different systems. P.N that both textpad has same version.

Did you check the settings noted above?
TextPad looks for macro files (*.tpm) in the folder defined in Configuration:
Configure/Preferences/Folders/Macros.
Does the user have permissions for this folder?
Hope this was helpful.............good luck,
Bob

You won't see it on the menu unless you add it, follow these steps:

Configure-->Preferences

Select Macros

List on the left is Macros available, select your copied macro and add to list on the right, then it appears on the menu pulldown.
