Edit - Insert - TIMESTAMP

Post by ronald.wouters »

Currently the option exists, using the Edit - Insert menu to insert a date or a time. I often want to insert a the combination of a date and a time in one go but the only way to do that currently is in two steps, first insert the date then insert the time. I would love it if you could, using a keyboard shortcut for instance, immediately insert in timestamp.
Another editor that I sometimes use (Notepad++) already has this feature and I am missing it in Textpad a lot.

I have done that for years. Just make some macros and assign hot keys.

I use CTL-ALT-D for this:
09:09 AM Tuesday, November 04, 2008
and goes to a new blank line

I use CTL-ALT T for This:
09:10 AM - stays on same line
Hope this was helpful.............good luck,
Bob
