When you create a new file it is placed alphabetically in the document selector. When you come to save it, the document isn't reordered alphabetically within the document selector.
This use to be the case 4.73. Please can it be fixed as, yes, it is a small thing, but boy is it annoying.
Apologies if this has already been requested, but I couldn't find it in the forums.
Thanks

I'm still using 4.7.3, but try this:
- Press F11 to close the Document Selector
- Press F11 to reopen the Document Selector
Does that reorder the files in the Document Selector?

I came in on 4.5 in 2001, moved to 4.7.2 in 2004, moved to 4.7.3 in 2007, moved to 5.4 in 2010, and am excited about 2013. I've said it many times before, and I'll say it many times again: "I love this program."

In other words, you would prefer an automatic refreshing of the Document Selector upon the saving of a file. I think I would too.
Generally speaking, however, degree of automation is inversely proportional to degree of user control.
Beware automation!

Re: Document Selector file order
I use version 5.2 and the document selector does refresh the order upon save with new name.Malarith wrote:When you create a new file it is placed alphabetically in the document selector. When you come to save it, the document isn't reordered alphabetically within the document selector.
