Double Click System Tray ICON to restore TextPad

Post by azfronz »

Please change it to Double Click System Tray ICON to restore TextPad. Single click or right click can pop up the menu you have.

Thanks,

I agree. This was different before Version 5 and, mildly put, this is no improvement, particularly considering that the tray menu has a whopping two items. Weighing how often I want to restore/hide TextPad against how often I want to close it, you make me jump through hoops.

How about a left-click interface for restoring/hiding, and opening the menu on a right-click? This is more or less standard behavior for tray icons with menus and is what one would intuitively expect the left and right mouse buttons to do. Left click does a directed, deliberate action while right click opens a context menu to see what other functions exist.

Anyway, thanks for working on it again. Until recently, I thought 4.7.3 was the last I'd seen of TextPad.
