right click on http hyperlink in doc - open with Firefox

I would like to open http hyperlink with Firefox when I right click and select open http://example.com. However, IE opens instead. Win XP has filetypes of htm and html are linked for Firefox, not IE.

Have you made Firefox the default browser? Tools/Options/Main.

yes, Firefox is the default browser. The htm and html extensions link to firefox as well in the file type viewer.
