We're pleased to announce the release of TextPad 5.2.
The major enhancement is the introduction of commands on the Window menu to arrange document tabs into horizontal or vertical groups. A side effect of this is that documents can now be tiled while tabs are displayed. These commands are only visible when more than one document is open and View/Document Tabs is checked.
Our French and Japanese users will be pleased that TextPad is now also available in those languages.
You can download it from here. Please see the release notes, for details of the changes.
As usual, there is no charge for existing customers to upgrade.

Is there any way to subscribe to announcements of new versions? Or do I have to stop by your website at regular intervals to notice that?
I am always a couple of months behind because I am not noticed of new versions in my mail or by the program itself, so I only notice new versions by chance.

Very nice, I like. Pleasing improvements to an already excellent tool.

Any news?
OK.
Any news, hints or ANYTHING whatsoever about an update?
I am continually amazed at Helios' bizarre policy of secrecy as regards TextPad updates. Just about every other software house lets its customers know what they're up to - even if it's just that the project is on hold.
Does Helios understand that keeping their users appraised will help promote loyalty, and perhaps even make them a little more cash?
Does anyone at Helios remember that this messageboard exists?
Hello...?

If you search on Helios as an author, you will see that they indeed remember the board exists. They posted yesterday.
They have indicated as of late January that the next release will be a maintenance patch http://forums.textpad.com/viewtopic.php?p=33046 Vista fix is the most they've let slip with regard to what will be addressed. Timeframe as always, will be when it's ready.
