Double click selection default

Post by nixp »

Although I use TextPad for many languages, I use it significantly for JavaScript, CSS, and HTML. I often want to select a hex color value. TextPad's default behavior only selects the alphanumeric characters and excludes the # except in cases when all of the alphanumeric characters are letters.

I understand why this occurs and that it is not a bug, but it would be great if there was some logic that recognized that I was copying a hex color value and would grab all 7 characters. Every other editor I use gets all 7, so it's just a bit of an inconvenience that TextPad doesn't.

Thanks

In
Configure | Preferences | Document Classes | <Class> | Syntax
or
View | Document Properties | Syntax
add a # to
Other characters in words
.

I personally like the default behavior now. But, adding # in there like he is saying is exactly how to change it throughout the system.
