SQL Syntax File

Post by fps_dean »

I have created a basic SQL syntax file:

Always in progess, but maybe you guys can package it in so others can get some benefit out of it too.

I have a lot of stuff I could think of on the top of my head from postgresql and SQL Server.

I don't think this will make your file available.

On the page for Syntax files, http://www.textpad.com/add-ons/syna2g.html
it says this:
These add-ons to TextPad are made available on an as-is basis. They are free and unsupported, although we will endeavor to fix any bugs.

We gratefully acknowledge these contributions from our users, who are credited below. Please let them know if you find their contributions useful.

If you would like to make your own contributions, please send them to support@textpad.com.
Hope this was helpful.............good luck,
Bob

Great, so we have a dozen of SQL syntax files now. I was just looking for one to be used with MySQL 5.0 (InnoDB) and SQLite 3.5... Which one should I take?

I can't speak directly to the MySQL vs SqlLite, but I'd suggest you grab both and alternate applying the syntax file to the same SQL script. Let your eyes tell you which one looks "right", or at least "better." Personally, I'm in a SQL Server world and I have modified the base SQL template with some goodies from the t-sql file.
