Expanded menu causes crash

Post by alben »

My setup:
Windows Vista Business.
Classic theme.
HP nc8430 laptop with 2GHz Core 2 Duo processor.
Textpad 5.0.3

Textpad is fully functional except for a major crash issue.
Crash when a menu item is expanded and then roll mouse over to another menu item.

Wait, the issue went away when I did a File - Exit and then restarted. Perhaps an installation issue?

I'm getting this same issue. However, doing the same thing that you did, the problem did not go away. Any help is appreciated.

If you haven't already done so, please try reinstalling TextPad and choose the Repair option, when it appears.

I have done that. I did a repair and full re-installation. Any other suggestions?

Please try deleting the file config.xml, which you will find at the following location, and then try starting up TextPad. Exit from TextPad before deleting the file.

C:\Documents and Settings\User name\Application Data\Helios\TextPad\5.0

DELETED.

Restarted Textpad and the issue still exists.

We will have to try and reproduce the problem before we can offer a fix. If you have any crash diagnostics, then please send them to "support@textpad.com" and we'll see if that helps us to trace the problem.

I also am having this problem. I've sent a crash dump to support@textpad.com and am anxiously awaiting a fix.

I am running Vista Business x32 on a Compaq 6910p laptop with a duocore processor and 3GB of RAM.

Thanks!
