Hi,
I have a little problem which could be a bug in textpad.
I have workspace with some local files in it, but mostly with files in it that are on another network location. However, to reach these files in the other network location via windows explorer i have to log on with a password to that network location. Only one time per start of my computer.
If I do this before I start Textpad, i have no problem and everything goes smooth, but when I don't go to windows explorer first to only select the network location and "activate it" I have a problem with Textpad.
I expected Textpad to also ask for the password for the network drive, but no, Textpad is ignoring the files on the network drive and only opens the local files. When I close Textpad the workspace it is saved without asking so i cannot workaround this by closing textpad, going to windows explorer, type in the password, open textpad and open the workspace again... unfortunately.
And that is a problem, because i am loosing information about what files are involved in my project this way...
any workaround or solution?
Thanks,
Greetings,
Edward

Hello Ed....
Could you create a batch file to open TexyPad when needing to use the worksapce? In the batch file, you could use NET commands to log in to the network shares, then open Textpad.
Now make an icon on the desktop to launch that batch file, which will result in opening TextPad, already connected to the network resources, so now when you open the Workspace, you shouldn't be prompted to login again.

Hope this was helpful.............good luck,
