How to Set Default View for Open Dialog?

I'd like to have the TextPad Open file dialog default to the Details view format automatically rather than having to change it each time I select Open.

I can set this default in Windows Explorer and it carries over to Excel, Word, etc., but TextPad doesn't seem to know anything about it.

Is there a way to do this for TextPad?

The Open file dialog box is one of Microsoft's, and unfortunately they keep the ability to have the default setting for Details for their own applications.
