Enhancement to Compare Files

Post by homepagestore »

Compare files is a great tool for finding the differences between to files. It particularly comes in handy when we must upgrade StoreFront software to a new version. Source files that have been customized must be compared to the new versions in an effort to identify code that must be carried forward.

ENHANCEMENT:
It would be much easier to read the code and identify the lines from each files if the background color were different for each file.

For example, lines from file #1 could remain with a white background and lines from file #2 could be coded with a light gray background.

The comparison could be made much faster because the eye would not be required to scan to the lead character of each line to identify the file.

Thanks for a great program!!! I wouldn't want to work without it.
Kindest Regards,
Rich
