syntax highlighting with out saving a file

Is there a way to view a textpad document with syntax highlighting without first saving the file?

I can not get syntax highting for let's say a python file until I save the file. But some editors have a way to identify what syntax highlighting you want to see a window in without save the file - any way in TextPad?

I have not tried it but what i remember...

right click in document > Properties > Syntax

[ben_josephs]

Or
View | Document Properties | Syntax
or
Alt+Enter | Syntax

Select Enable syntax highlighting and choose the Syntax definition file.
