5.02 file association still not working

Same problem in 5.02 as I had in 5.0 -- Explorer does not allow me to select Textpad as the application to use when I open a *.txt file. I can browse for the app... but it refuses to work.

I thought the release notes said it was fixed, but it's not. I also tried removing and reinstalling from scratch. Still does not work.

Same problem with the context menu "open with" command, too.

However, I did try to install 5.02 on another PC and it does seem to work fine. Just not on my Laptop. Maybe there's something wrong with my machine?

Any ideas?
