Textpad 5 can't open files directly

I have my .txt files associated to Textpad. Since upgrading to 5 from 4, if I click on a .txt file, Textpad opens but says it can't find the file. I have Textpad as a Send To shortcut, that works, but it's a pain in the neck having to do this every time.

Upgraded in situ first, then uninstalled it and reinstalled afresh, no change.

Any ideas?

I have exactly the same problem with v5.

V4 opened files by simply double-clicking on the file.

A painful workaround is to right click on the file and then select Textpad from the shortcut mouse menu......but this involves using a mouse!

Yes, not good when one has paid for the software, is it? May have to revert if ver 4 is still available.
