The problem is that even in full-screen there's a border along the display's perimiter, which is incorrect. With a black background this white frame distracts very much and screws up the whole appearance so I prefer writing text in MSWord 5.5 for MSDOS rather than in your editor because it's more appealing to the eye and makes the work more comfortable.

If you really need a full-screen text editor it may be worth giving WestEdit a try.
I don't know anything about this program other than it seems to be a Wndows clone of Writeroom for the Mac. It may also be worth trying Darkroom. Again, I know nothing about this program I just hit Google to search for full-screen editors.
My view is that I tend to side with Mark Pilgrim on the current fad for full-screen text editors.

I was simply shocked by this:
1. WestRoom is an old-school text editor.
2. Requires Windows XP and Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1
I use win98se and I am pretty sure there's no need for XP or NET just to make a text editor! It's nonsense for an editor to have such requirements...
Same goes to DarkRoom.
However, in TextPad it can be implemented quite easuly: by turning the main window's borders off...
P.S.: Just think: my computer's too weak to run a simple and fancy-free old-school text editor, but it does run 3d editors, photoshop, word processors...
