Problem on installing update

I'm in software support for a different package. One of my clients reports that: Halfway through editing two files, the Textpad "update" message arrived. The client clicked "OK". Then, during the update process, one of the two files was overwritten by the other file. The "undo" feature wouldn't work to remedy the situation. Nasty ....

Of course, don't update software while you are using it!! "Too soon old, too late smart ..."

Although I agree that starting a software update going while editing data is not wise - I have never seen a "Textpad Update" message, so am sure it was not a Textpad issue other than the product was being used at the time the "client click ok"!

Like the quote though - Old quick, wise slow.
