Preferences/General has Reload Last Workspace at Startup checked, but the program comes up blank and I need to select the workspace from the Files menu. Is this a bug or have I missed something?
When closing TextPad, any files other than those in the workspace are added to it, which I don't want. Is there a setting to prevent this? I will try making the workspace file read-only if I can find it.

If you haven't already done so, please try implementing the following procedure:
From the Configure menu choose:
1. Preferences
2. General
3. Uncheck the option to Reload Last Workspace at Startup
4. Click Apply
5. Recheck the option to Reload Last Workspace at Startup
6. Click Apply/OK
It is only possible to preserve the original files in the Workspace by manually closing any additional files, or by using the File menu option, Workspace/Close and choosing No, when asked if you want to save changes to the Workspace. You can create a keyboard shortcut for Workspace/Close.
